How fast can you draw?I'm curious. One of the biggest factors for me not drawing more over the past 5 or so years has been a lack of creative or emotional stamina. I want to get results quickly, and that doesn't always seem to be possible. When I try to increase my drawing speed, my accuracy goes way, way down. I wonder which is more important -- speed or accuracy. Sometimes a really rough drawing can have a lot more energy than something I spent 12 hours on... but sometimes the 12 hours of care and detail are what makes an illustration what it is.
So I'm curious as to how everyone else approaches their drawing, painting, or whatever it is they do. If you have an

Writers of the Month - JanuaryJanuary 2012's Writer of the Month is a special feature dedicated to several of the most outstanding contributors over the last 12 months!
We run a number of regular features at :devWritersInk:, with the aim of both showcasing the talents of the community and rewarding the members who contribute most to it. To get the best of those features, we constantly try to balance keeping the features entertaining - because if no-one is going to read them, then what's the point? - and making sure that they benefit the right members.
The sad result of that is that not all the members who contribute get the rewards they deserve. We can only do so much,
  Love Paul Wesley and Stefan Salvatore--seen him play a few characters-loved TV movie Fallen as Aaron Corbett and enjoyed him in that crazy, weird horror movie, The Killer Movie as Jake. Seriously, I love what the character, Stefan, represents. The dialog I enjoy sooo much, how he tried to speak good (wisdom) into Vicky. I know some folks would be offended because he sounded too judgmental/taking the high road/or too uptight about her situation. And then he's protective, sounding so repentant. But we've all done bad and some of us are able to turn away from it, doing good. Ohhhh, and the way Stefan loves Elena!    And I love the way this Paul Wesley/Stefan looks. He has such a clean, good guy look. And...that crazy long slope of his face, those wing-tipped eyebrows, big inquisitive blue to gray to green eyes, furrowed brow, perfect smooth lips, attractive long chin that makes my stomach flip. There's no forcing myself to like him as an actor. Love his voice...ohhh my goodness that HAIR! And then those ABS!  I'm not blind...Paul's is lean, muscular, and everything fits PERFECTLY. I look and see his beauty--could be those biceps and pecs.  It's not just that. He's intelligent, grateful and not shy to do a hard day's work. He also has a bold-legged cowboy walk, which is so adorable...I noticed that in the Pilot. Gee, I've observed him too much.  Now Damon... is very, very intriguing.Who can ignore Ian Somerhalder/Damon's appearance? It's amazing too. Look at his tumbling mane of black hair--great! He's got those perpetually arching eyebrows, which accentuates his good looks. And those electric blue eyes shock you. He has a smile that can stretch for miles and challenge you. Those tulip lips I can see women's mouths water over them. I absolutely love his quick wit and how he interacts with Paul/Stefan. They both make a perfect team in this show. I haven't been this entertained in a long time...not even at the movies. So I can see why so many are attracted to Ian/Damon as well. He has the "looks." Again, it all adds up to preference. Ian is a very interesting and creative actor. I've seen him play "Boone" in TV series Lost. When he played Boone on Lost, I had to warm up to him. So that lets me know it's not just because Damon came on strong as evil in the beginning, but It's to do with my personal preference. As a matter of fact, I enjoy Ian's acting a million times more as Damon than Boone. So these are my reasons why I literally enjoy Paul Wesley and absolutely LOVE this Stefan character. (To add, I love the boy-next-door type of guy, mixed with the do-gooder who doesn't expect to get paid back. I even love the underdog because I've been one in life--taunted, teased and bullied, which is Stefan's current dilemma with Damon. You can put a check mark beside the unlikely hero. Yeah, Damon fits the unlikely hero part, too). |
