This is a commission I did for a friend at work. She gave this painting as a gift to the folks she helps out. This is a picture of their home.

My friend told me when she gave it to them, the old couple cried in tears. I'm grateful.

This was a doozie. Very hard to do. I had to make straight lines with the paintbrush and failed. The reference photo was very sharp and clear, but the perspecitive was funny. I decided to do the lines with a straight edge, up and down...no 2-3 dimensional perspecitive; I don't know how to do those...whatever.

Never done anything like this before. It took a month, off and on, 2-3 hours each time. I was stiffled by tediousness, nearly falling asleep or pulling my hair. Now, I have even a greater respect those artists that can do this sort of work and stick with it.

Materials: Watercolor, Guosh (opaque watercolor), Acrylic, ...and colorpencils to draw in that insane siding to the house. I'm not skilled with paintbrushes like that. Color pencils paid off...I faked those straight lines...hehehe.

If you feel the flatness of the house and shakiness of the lines totally unnerves you, go ahead and hit me with your best shot. If you gotta fuss about it, I don't blame you. But did I succeed at this? You guys are the art appreciaters here...or should I say pros?
