Two months had passed for Elena since Stefan and Damon moved temporarily to Kenya for Stefan's detoxification. The Salvatore family had some tourist franchises in different spots of the world, including Bora Bora, Tahiti and Florence, Italy. She counted the time down in her head as she slung her purse strap over her shoulders. It was two months, fourteen hours and fifteen minutes give or take a few seconds.

The bedroom door had been shut for about two minutes, leaving Elena pacing back and forth.

"What's going on in there, Damon!" She flashed those huge judging eyes at him.

"Grey's Anatomy has crossed over with Charmed." Damon raised his eyebrow and gave her his signature grin. That should have put her in a better mood, but it didn't. He understood why. With Stefan screaming like a Banshee would put anyone on edge, even him. He had to take charge.

"Calm down." He put his hands on her shoulders. Another loud scream erupted behind the door.

"What's going on, Damon. If you don't tell me, I'll go in there myself." She narrowed her eyes and cross

"I'll take the wheel." Damon rushed to the drivers side, waited for Elena to get in her silver Toyota Camry Hybrid rental and sped down the road.

She was ruffled by what happened in there, her face pale. He could feel her heat through his jacket, like she had a fever.

"Give me the low down," Damon said.

A guy wasn't supposed to feel all this emotion, especially a prime vampire like himself. But he felt her anxious, brown eyes watching him and he saw them glistening with tears. For a moment, like hypnosis, he couldn't turn away. Would she ever cry for him like that?

"I can still see him through the curtains," Bonnie whispered to Elena. She couldn't do it and betray her grandmother like that. All she had was her family and Elena, who was holding Bonnie's arms and starring into her eyes like that would help her to locate.
